Red Lion, Ouston

The Red Lion at Ouston is a family run ‘destination pub’ on the outskirts of Chester-Le-Street that offers amazing food at great value. Over the years we have undertaken a significant amount of work improving the kitchen slowly as the pub’s food business grew. In 2023 we installed a new kitchen ventilation system complete with gas interlock. We have now just upgraded the capacity of the prime cooking equipment, installed a canopy extension (with a larger fan and controller) and fitted st/steel wall cladding to the cookline wall. The work was planned and executed over a 3-day period in early December to ensure the pub could cope with a busy Christmas food demand.
