Sheffield City’s celebrated manufacturer Gripple transformed this iconic iconic building into a training academy and sports and social club for staff. The building on Attercliffe Common, originally a school and formerly the popular Players’ Café is now named Glide House. Within Glide House is a fully bespoke production kitchen used for serving on and off-site staff. The kitchen was designed in keeping with the directive of Head Chef Luke Slaughter.
The kitchen features predominantly Lincat supplied prime cooking equipment along with a Rational 10-gird, 6-grid stacked combination oven. There is also a walk-in integral chilled storage room. The site has proven to be so popular that in November 2018 a kitchen extension was also built and fitted out by Fox.
