Crown Garden Centre – Yorkshire

This was a really exciting project to work on from the start. The garden centre owners decided to build a brand new building which would incorporate a commercial kitchen and food service counter.

We were asked to propose a rustic themed design that would be in keeping with the feel of the garden centre itself. We therefor suggested sandstone top and wood-effect panelling.

We steered clear of a basic straight-line counter and favoured an angled top with drop down section to make it more interesting and less like a school canteen.

To complete with design we also supplied and installed wall storage units to site above the back bar counter.

The counter itself had an extended corian top with chrome effect stray sliders. At the customer start point is a drop-down tray storage shelf. Next is a drop-down ice-cream display which leads to a heated ceran deck and heated twin soup well. There is plenty of ambient display space that the garden centre use for various cakes and confectionary.

The back bar area has basket storage, drawer storage, glass door cupboard storage, solid door storage, open areas (for bottle chillers), inset prep sink and waste scrap chute with bin under. All these can be seen on the images provided.
